Auto Value Wins First League Title in 16 Years, Saltness Home Inspection 2nd

2003 was the last time Auto Value, then Bumper to Bumper, won a league title. After having the best record in the league through the regular season at 45-21, they cruised past Club 40 in the first round of the playoffs and then battled back from a first game loss to Saltness Home Inspection to win the championship. After finishing 3rd in the regular season, Saltness Home Inspection sneaked by Alley Cats in the first round of the playoffs 15-10, 11-16, 19-17. This was the first time since the 2013-2014 season that Saltness Home Inspection has finished in the top 4. Alley Cats 3rd place finish is their best since winning a championship in 2014-2015 after defeating Club 40 21-11 and 16-8. Club 40's streak of 3 straight league championships came to an end finishing 4th this season.

Don Strauch Inducted into HOF; Wally's Boys 2nd in Class C

Don Strauch became the 16th player from the Eau Claire Dartball League to be inducted into the Wisconsin State Dartball Hall of Fame on Saturday, April 6 at the 80th annual state tournament held at the Menominee Nation Arena in Oshkosh. Don began playing in Eau Claire in the 60s and continued on and off for the next 40 years. He still currently plays in the Missouri Lutheran Dartball League and is their league president. Congratulations Don on a great accomplishment! In other state tournament action, Class C team Wally's Boys, making their first state tournament appearance, made an incredible run all the way to the championship game falling short to Rosco's from South Milwaukee.

Area Teams Claim Two State 4-Man Titles

Two area teams won state titles in last weekends Wisconsin State Dartball 4-Man Tournament held in Richfield, WI at the Sterling Chalet. Eau Claire Auto Parts defeated Skippy's 21-18 and 13-12 to win the class A state championship and T2 Lawncare defeated A&W to win the Class C state championship. As far as records have it, this is the first time an Eau Claire team as won a state 4-man title. Congratulations to both teams on an excellent tournament.
